Fire Suppression Systems

Aero-K® / Stat-X® systems may be installed in a NON-permanent configuration to allow easy dismounting and movement to another location.

Features

The Aero-K® / Stat-X® line of fire suppression systems is based on Aerosol Technology developed and applied to fire protection by an American team of engineers and manufactured in the USA to ISO 9001:2000 standards.

Applications

Due to their fast response time, low fire extinguishing concentration, and environmental safety, Aero-K® / Stat-X® fire suppression systems may be used in critical applications across a wide range of industries. Aerosol generators are suitable for use in:

  • Computer and Server Rooms
  • Telecommunication lock-outs
  • Electronic cabinets
  • Flammable liquid storage
  • Switchgear enclosures
  • Hazmat storage

  • CNC machines
  • Marine engine rooms and machinery spaces
  • Data processing equipment
  • Small boats
  • Printing equipment
  • High value mobile equipment

Operation / Description

In the event of a fire, Aero-K® / Stat-X® generators can be activated either manually or automatically via the integrated thermal detector. Upon activation, the generators produce an exceptionally effective, ultra-fine, potassium based aerosol. Unlike gaseous systems, Aero-K® / Stat-X® aerosol generators are very cost effective to install and maintain – as they do not require the pressure vessels, piping or expensive installation costs associated with other extinguishing systems. Space and weight requirements are minimal and, in many applications, the small size of the Aero-K® / Stat-X® aerosol generators makes them the only viable option. On an agent weight basis, Aero-K® / Stat-X® aerosol is ten times more effective than gaseous agent alternatives. Fire suppression is rapidly achieved through interference between the ultra-fine aerosol particulate and the flame’s free radicals – terminating propagation of the fire. Aero-K® / Stat-X® aerosol generators are virtually maintenance free and have a shelf life of over 10 years. This, coupled to their very low installation cost, makes them an extremely cost effective fire protection solution.

Aero-K® / Stat-X® Costs Less to Maintain

An Aero-K® / Stat-X® system consists of a control panel, detection, and a series of aerosol generators. Inspection consists of visually inspecting each generator and checking continuity via the control panel. Aero-K® / Stat-X® generators are warranted for 18 months from date of installation and have a shelf life of over ten years. This fire suppression system can be easily removed and reconfigured for re-installation or upgrade in the event of facility re-location or expansion.

Aero-K® / Stat-X® aerosol generators require as little as 10% of the agent required by some other fire-suppression systems. This chart shows the number of grams of suppression agent required for every 35.5 cubic feet of coverage, for four different systems. As you can see, Aero-K® / Stat-X® is a fraction of the others!

  • Significantly more effective than alternative extinguishing agents
  • Environmentally friendly – Ozone depletion potential (ODP) = 0 – No global warming potential
  • Ease of installation – no pressure vessels, piping, or expensive installation manpower
  • Very low maintenance
  • Provides reliable, cost effective protection for a wide range of fire hazards
  • No power required – activates thermally or manually
  • Favorably reviewed by EPA for SNAP listing
  • Safe for valuable equipment – will not harm electronic equipment or magnetic media
  • Post fire cleanup is minimal – aerosol suspends in air for quick and easy venting after discharge
  • Compact – up to a 90% reduction in space and weight requirements
